World Showcase *was* so awesome. Learning the real history and cultures of the nations, not a presentation of movie characters. Norway was my favorite pavilion: the food, Stave Church, the people, the Maelstrom.

I met my beautiful and lovely Norwegian girlfriend there and to me was a shock to see what Disney did to a Pavilion me and my family loved. Not only that, the current Disney management is effectively destroying the magic we used to enjoy in the parks to give priority to make money and recovering from the pandemic losses with a very poor customer driven but instead profiteering approach. American corporations at last. Greetings from México and hope I can visit your beautiful country in the near future. Ha det bra.

This pavillion opened just two months before my first visit to epcot. I actually was one of the first guests to ride maelstrom and it was awesome. The frozen ride is okay but I liked maelstrom a lot better.

In the several years that i’ve been to WDW, I cant remember the attraction at 1:02. Can someone tell me what that one is?

i'll admit i hated it as a kid because of the drop but then i grew to like it more.

Maelstrom as the other iconic will be sorely missed.. Nothing wrong with change. It would be awesome if Disney world would have an extension to another park which features the rides of past....

I miss the old Norway. I replicated the world showcase in Minecraft, I added the original Norway at Epcot, adding a ride similar to Maelstrom. But it will never be the same.

Thank you so much for putting this music up! It brings back so many beautiful memories at the Norway pavilion with all of my family being at its happiest! I've alwayed loved the ride and the Norwegian cast-members are always amazing and kind people. This is probably my favorite country out of the world show case of the beautifully cultured ride and they have, in my opinion, one of the most prettiest music and sceneries. It makes me happy to listen to this, but also sad cause it won't go back the why it used to be. But overall, I would never trade any experience that involves Norway and I'm glad I got a chance to see it all. Thank you!

I love the accompying video showing the original pavillion and Maelstrom. I'm going to miss the original Norway. Whats next...replacing the American Advanture with Lilo and Stitch? Or Impressions of China with Mulan?

This is my favorite pavilion in the World Showcase and love talking to all of the Norwegian CM's there. And of course, LOVE the music! Thank you so much for updating this!

I've had this on repeat all day in honor of Maelstrom. Thanks for all your efforts to save Maelstrom/the Norway pavilion as a whole and what it stood for (man, I hate using the past tense here)...especially taking the issue to the news and preserving the background music here. It's incredibly rude what Disney is doing to your country's representation in Epcot and I'm so sorry for that.

It pisses me off they took this ride away for a Frozen attraction. I mean come on. I like the movie and all and the song is catchy. But still. It's a passing fad. They'll regret it when no one cares anymore.

I love Disney and must be missing something. First, some parts of this story are blatantly incorrect (such as the movie). He states that the Norway Pavilion is good for tourism and uses the Disney Cruise Line as an example. Um, the Disney Cruise Line is taking a FROZEN THEMED CRUISE to Norway. It would seem to me that if Norway embraced this concept, it would actually be a HUGE bonus for them and result in a massive increase in tourism. I would also like to see how many MORE people are visiting Norway as a result of Frozen compared to before. Some people claim to like Norway and the Maelstrom. Interesting. It is the one country I can completely bypass and not feel like I've missed anything.

RIP Maelstrom. Can't believe that they're getting rid of it. I've seen enough Frozen. :(

I hope they do change the ride to be heavily influenced by Frozen, but keep the rest of the area Norway and change the breakfast princess thing to Frozen Characters. I dont think using a fantasy movie is such a terrible way to get people to get interested in a country. I mean look at New Zealand and the whole Lord of the Rings/hobbit thing. It has really really helped tourism for New Zealand Despite the story not taking place in New Zealand ( middle Earth ) and the writer not being anywhere near from that country. If it inspires my kids to want to know more about Norway ( another culture ) then great. because right now, my kids arent so interested in that pavilion.

No more Geir Ness??? Crud. I love just walking near the Norway pavilion and smelling Geir and Leila wafting out of the gift shop. I love that combo. It seems Epcot is becoming less and less international.

Ill try to get a playlist with the names of the songs... I think Im missing two-three songs in the loop as they are not anywhere online. I made this based on the names I found on parktunes by individual songs put together. The song at 36 minutes is Sigmund Groven and Arve Tellefsen with the song Telemarksommer (Telemark Summer). They also have the song Prinsesse Maigull (Princess Marygold) on the loop. Both beautiful songs...
